From the Executive Director

I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing summer and are looking forward to another exciting year of “Hoosier Hysteria”. It is human nature to want to be appreciated. At the IBCA we appreciate the support of our member coaches and sincerely hope you teach and coach in a community that appreciates everything you do for your school and players.

It is my wish that your passion for teaching and coaching the young athletes we serve is as strong as ever. It is extremely important that we fulfill our responsibilities as leaders and strive to be positive role model for our players. Basketball is a long season, balancing our teaching and coaching responsibilities with our family responsibilities can be tricky at times. I commend you for your efforts, but remember we are in this profession because we love it.

Below is a calendar of IBCA related events. This will also be posted on our website. Pay particular attention to the time line of dates and deadlines to nominate players for honor teams, scholarships, showcases as well as voting for District Representatives and coaches of the year. Don’t hurt a deserving candidate's chances of receiving recognition because you forgot to join the IBCA or you missed a deadline.

It has been my pleasure to continue serving as the Executive Director of your professional organization. On behalf of the IBCA, good luck this season and may the best teams win.
