He began his teaching career in 1976 as a fourth grade teacher at Washington Elementary School in Plymouth Indiana. From 1977-1982 he taught Math at Lincoln Middle School in Plymouth and was the Varsity Assit. Baseball and Basketball coached two Hall of Famers Bill Nixon and Jack Edison. He has held administrative positions as an elementary principal, middle school asst. Principal and a High School Principal before he became the Superintendent at Adams Central Community School in 2002. He has been very active in Community organizations and has been recognized numerous times by professional organizations for his leadership as an educator. Congratulations Mike. Jerry began his teaching career at Mulberry Grove Illinois where he taught science, physical education and coached basketball, baseball and track. During his administrative career he has been an Asst. Principal at Plainfield Schools, Principal at Carmel Jr. High, Director of Personnel Services at MSD Wayne Twp., Asst. Supt. Wayne Twp Schools and for the past 17 years Supt. Of Plainfield Schools. Jerry has earned numerous state and local honors for his efforts as an educator. Through out his career, Jerry has attended many extracurricular events and community activities, but his wife Sherri might qualify for the Guinness Book of World Records for the most activities attended by a Superintendent’s spouse. After the awards ceremony here tonight Jerry and his Wife will be attending the Plainfield Prom. Jerry, thanks for your dedication to the youth of our great state. Kendall is married to Sandy Wildey who is a music teacher at JCHS. They have three children, Alivia (19), Ariah (16), and Hunter (13). They are also guardians of Kamonica Howard (18), Shane Howard (16), and Landon Anthony (3). Kendall, thanks for all you do for the young people in our great state. |
