Sixty of Indiana’s best class of 2022 senior boys’ and senior girls’ high school players were invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball’s 2022 Top 60 Senior Workouts held annually in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
The 41st annual Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout was held at Beech Grove School on Sunday, March 6. The 34th Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout was held at Marian University on Sunday, March 27.
Both Top 60 Senior Workouts began at 1 p.m. and included two sessions – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both workouts were coordinated by Hoosier Basketball Magazine publisher/editor Kip Wesner. DeeAnn Ramey of North Central served as on-court director for the 2022 Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout, and Chris Hawkins of Indianapolis Crispus Attucks was the on-court director for the 2022 Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout. Several other IBCA-member coaches assisted at each event.
These workouts gave the state’s outstanding seniors a chance to meet and compete as well as afford college coaches an opportunity to observe them against top-quality competition. While not a tryout for the Indiana All-Star team, these events afforded Indiana All-Star game director Mike Broughton and his Indiana All-Star coaches (boys and girls) the opportunity to observe the state’s best senior players against each other.
