‘Be Part of the Solution’ shirts available

As an organization that serves players and coaches, the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association supports those who peacefully seek racial equality and social justice. Indiana high school boys’ basketball and girls’ basketball players and teams may show their support by acquiring “Be Part of the Solution” shooting shirts.

This time in our history can be a teachable moment for the players whom we serve. The “Be Part of the Solution” initiative is intended to be educational and non-political.

Those schools and teams that want to show support by participating in this initiative should contact BSN Sports to place orders. These will be a long-sleeved Dri-Fit shirt. All shooting shirt orders must be placed from Oct. 1-15, 2020. These shooting shirts will be ideal for pregame warm-ups or to wear around school.

If a school wanted to buy extra shirts to sell to the student body, this also could be a fund-raising opportunity.

Shirts are available at $18 per shirt. To order shirts, go to this link between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15.

If you have questions, contact Bobby Dial at BSN Sports 317-691-6984 for more information.

IBCA executive director Steve Witty offered this perspective: “If we all would do a better job of learning to listen and listening to learn, accept personal responsibility for our actions and treat people the way we like to be treated, together we can all be part of the solution to make the world a better place.”
