If you are a current-year IBCA member who coaches high school, junior high school or elementary boys or girls, you have $2 million general liability insurance through our affiliation with the National Organization of Coaches Association Directors (NOCAD). This insurance covers you in the classroom or while working at youth sports camps and/or conducting your own personal camp.
Please also be aware of this notice that was issued on March 20:
“As a result of the directive by Gov. Holcomb that all schools would remain closed until May 1, our insurance carrier has informed the IBCA that all member coaches must follow their state’s guidance regarding gathering teams together. The $2 million liability coverage that all our member coaches have may be in jeopardy if a member coach violates a state, state athletics agency or school system policy during this crisis situation.”

If you have a camp and require a certificate that names an additional insured (some schools want to be named additional insured), the cost is $50.00. You must prove you have participant/accident coverage for each participant before a customized certificate of insurance will be issued.
