Jerry Taylor
Jerry is a graduate of Ball State University and received his administrative degree from Indiana State University. For 23 years he taught swimming at Fountain Central High School and was Assistant Principal at Western Boone High School from 2001 - 2006.
During his 33 year officiating career, Taylor worked 22 sectionals, 17 regionals, eight semi-states, four state finals (two single class and two class), two Hall of Fame, and one Tournament of Champions games. Jerry has served in numerous leadership roles as a member of the Western Officials Association out of Lafayette. He also serves as an IHSAA observer and was the recipient of the Outstanding Official award in 1996.
Jerry would like to thank several people for their help during his successful officiating career. First is Zack Williams, IHSAA observer and good friend. Others include Larry Nixon his partner for 20 years and all the Athletic Directors and coaches he worked with. He would especially like to thank his family-Mary, Kyle and Megan-for the time he was not home.
