From the beginning of last season through late September 2017, 186 people have been hired as new varsity basketball coaches in Indiana high schools – 93 to boys’ basketball positions and 93 to girls’ basketball positions – for the 2017-18 season.
This is the third greatest number of changes in the past 20 years. In the spring and summer of 2014, a record 197 changes were made. In the 2007 offseason, 188 changes were made.
