Tickets are available in advance from the participating schools or the Hall for $10 per day. Tickets purchased at the door will be $10 per session. Coaches interested in bringing their team to the tournament should contact our office in advance for a discounted rate.
We expect two fields lined with star players, outstanding teams and some of the top coaches in the state. The tournament features some of the best competition from the state and is a great opportunity to bring your team for a day of basketball.
The Hall of Fame museum, a 14,000-square-foot shrine to Indiana high school basketball, is another great opportunity for a team outing. A number of our memorabilia displays have been updated this summer. We have had visitors from coast to coast visit this summer who have come away impressed with the history and Indiana’s passion for high school basketball. In the month of July alone, we had visitors from 27 states as well as from Australia and Japan.
As a team-building trip, to build excitement for the season or for a mid-season history lesson, we offer an affordable option for teams – $1.00 per player with coaches free. Keep in mind that no player on your roster this year had been born when more than 41,000 fans watched the IHSAA boys state finals at the Hoosier Dome 25 years ago this season. (How many of your players would know what the Hoosier Dome was?)
Including artifacts and images from those games in 1990 and plenty more from many years prior, touring the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame is a true history lesson that all current players could use.
We encourage you to visit our website at www.hoopshall.com, which features sections on our inductees and honorees, upcoming events, press releases and our online gift shop.
The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame continued to add to our membership last year with a special offer to IBCA members. Coming again this year, we encourage you to support the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame by becoming an Active Coach member for $25. This is a savings of 75 percent off of our typical rate and gives you the same benefits as a regular member, including free admission to the museum and a 20 percent discount off items in our gift shop or online store.
I hope you will enjoy some of our numerous activities with the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame this year. We appreciate your support as we celebrate the history, tradition and memories of basketball in our state, while educating and cultivating the next generation of Indiana basketball fans.
