Sixty of Indiana’s best class of 2011 senior boys' and senior girls’ high school players were invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball’s 2011 Top 60 Workouts held annually in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
The 30th annual Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout was held on the campus of Marian University on the westside of Indianapolis on Sunday, March 13, 2011.
The 24th annual Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout will take place at Marian University in Indianapolis on Sunday, April 3, 2011.
Both Top 60 Senior Workouts begin at 1 p.m. and include two sessions – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The two workouts are coordinated by Hoosier Basketball publisher Garry Donna. Four-time state championship coach Rick Risinger of Heritage Christian served as on-court director of the 2011 Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout, assisted by IBCA-member coaches. IBCA-member coaches will also be conducting the Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout led by on-court director Larry Nicks of Indianapolis Arlington.
These workouts give the state’s outstanding seniors a chance to meet and compete as well as afford college coaches an opportunity to observe them against top-quality competition.
While NOT a try-out for the Indiana All-Star team, these events afford Indiana-Kentucky All-Star game director Charlie Hall and his Indiana All-Star coaches, both boys and girls, the opportunity to observe the state’s best senior players against each other.
