Here is an opportunity for coaches to get continuing credit online from Coach Don Meyer, recently retired coach from Northern State University of Aberdeen, SD. The online academy will include the three Coaching DVDs from Coach Meyer, PE 492/592: Advanced Theory & Coaching Basketball, Aug. 30-Dec. 17, 2010. Cost is $120 for 3 credits
This workshop will be an intense review of coaching theory and takes learners into all aspects of Coach Don Meyer's basketball program. Specific topics to be covered include: individual development workouts, preparing for games, special situations, building a team concept, developing internal leaders, and more. The workshop is totally online. Students will watch a number of videos, have assigned course readings, and complete the assignments (discussion boards, exams, and final term paper). There are NO meetings at specific times.
