Larry Jake Jackowiak
District I
Larry Jackowiak did his undergraduate work at Manchester College and earned a Masters Degree from Indiana University South Bend and a Specialist in Education Degree from Ball State. He taught Special Education and coached football and baseball before becoming the Athletic Director at Concord High School in 2000-01. Jackowiak served as President of the Indiana Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Association 2000-2001. From 2000-2009 he served as Concord’s Assistant Superintendent of Business and in 2005 and again in 2009 was named Indiana Association of School Business officials “Schools Business Official of the Year”.
Mike Huey
District II
Mike Huey has an undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville and an M.S. degree from Indiana University. He is retiring as the Athletic Director of New Palestine High School after 19 years. He has also served as Athletic Director at Evansville Day and Whitko High Schools. Before entering athletic administration, Huey was an assistant basketball coach at Waldron and Booneville High Schools. He held head coaching positions at Delta, Milan and Eastern Pekin. He was a member of the IBCA from 1970-1987. In 1999-2000 and 2005-2006 schools years Huey was IIAAA District 4 Administrator of the Year. Mike, the IBCA salutes you for all you have done for high school athletics during your career.
James Babcock
District III
James Babcock received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky and received his M. S. and Eds. degrees from Indiana University. He is a veteran of the U. S. Army Active Reserve and served one year as Company Commander. He spent his entire professional career at Paoli High School. He was a teacher, counselor, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal and Principal from 1974-1997. Babcock has been a member of several professional organizations. He served on the IHSAA Board form 1991-1997. In 1991 the James A. Babcock Mental Attitude Award was established to honor a Paoli High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys' Basketball Player. He has received numerous awards during his career including Sagamore of the Wabash in 1997. In 2009 he was named Orange County Community Foundation Male Philanthropist of the Year.
