Coaches,
As the season approaches, the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame wishes each of you the best in the 2009-10 season.
This season marks the 100th year of IHSAA boys’ basketball, a clear indication of the love and dedication Hoosiers have to “Indiana’s game.” As each year produces great stories and memorable teams, players, coaches, and rivalries, I am sure this will be another great season to remember.
An event to mark on your calendars is the 2009 City Securities Hall of Fame Classic, please take note of the schedule below.
The games take place Tuesday, December 29 and Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the world’s largest and finest high school fieldhouse in New Castle. The four girls teams participating lost a combined nine games all of last season, while the boys’ field lost a combined 10 games, including an undefeated state championship squad. All eight squads are capable of similar, if not better, seasons this year.

The Classic features some of the best competition from the state and is a great opportunity to bring your team for a day of basketball.
The Hall of Fame museum, the only high school basketball museum in the country, is another great opportunity for a team outing. In August, we had over $150,000 worth of new touch-screen computer exhibits installed, adding to the Hall of Fame experience.
As a team-building trip, to build excitement for the season, or for a mid-season history lesson, we offer an affordable option for teams - $1 per player with coaches fees.
I hope you’ll enjoy some of our numerous activities with the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame this year and appreciate your support as we celebrate the history, tradition and memories of basketball in our state while educating and cultivating the next generation of Indiana basketball fans.
