Ken is a graduate of Southwestern High School and Ball State University. While attending Ball State, Ken began his officiating career doing intramural games. After graduation he began his teaching career at Franklin Community School Corporation where he has been for the past 39 years.
During his officiating career, Ken has worked his way up the ranks of IHSAA tournaments. He has worked 13 Sectionals, 11 Regionals, eight Semi-States and three State Finals. He also has officiated Division I, II, and III men’s basketball. In 1995 and 1996, he worked the Division II National Championships. Ken’s wife Janet, along with his three children, Lisa, Chad, and Austin, have contributed to his successful officiating career with their support, sacrifices and understanding.
