Indiana Basketball Coaches Association member coaches have placed more than 50 profiles about some of their best players on our IBCA website, Best of Indiana page.
Launched last year to give exposure to college recruiters who wished to look at Indiana talent, the Website has grown in it's second year to now include a pair of Expanded Profiles and about 50 free Basic Profiles. Both types of profiles generally include key statistics such as points per game, rebounds per game, assists and steals per game, blocked shots, and other evaluative information provided at the choice of the individual's coach.
Current expanded player profiles included on the website are those of Kokomo's Patrick Hopkins, a member of last year's Indiana Boys' Junior All-Star team and Valparaiso's Stefanie Lang, a junior center for the Vikings. Both are on Best of Indiana as an Expanded entrant. A profile of up to 150 words, plus a color photo, is included with this choice for $50 payable to the IBCA at the time the profile is submitted to Patrick Aikman, Special Projects Coordinator for the IBCA. The Basic entrant, composing most of the current listings, includes up to 75 words, including a contact point (e-mail address or phone number or both) for the player's coach. This is also included with the expanded possibility. Listings will usually be maintained on the Best of Indiana website from Nov 1 this year until Nov. 30 of 2010.
