The IBCA thanks our sponsors:

From The Coaches' Box

Tom BeachHello! We hope you had a productive off season and are as excited about the upcoming season as we are. We are also excited about the beginning of our term as your IBCA president, working for you and doing everything we can to promote high school basketball in Indiana.

Your IBCA wants to continue the traditions that we are known for, while striving to evolve and make changes for the betterment of high school coaches and athletes. We will need your help and input to do this.

Since we want to speak for all coaches, we will need some help. Get your membership turned in as quickly as possible. Remember, membership runs from October to October. Not only does your membership bring you benefits as a coach, but also allows your athletes to be eligible for scholarships and awards. Please consider registering your entire staff. We want to have one of the largest organizations in the country. Use the IBCA website and check out the more than 20 benefits of being a member.

The IBCA is also lucky to have some very good corporate sponsorship. Please do your best to support our partners. They have some great products and do a wonderful job of supporting our organization.

Coaches like to hear their team communicate. Please communicate with your board members your thoughts and ideas that you would like to see us attempt to implement.

Start making your plans for January and your Coaches vs. Cancer game. This was a great success last season and we want to continue to fight and defeat this beast.

Finally, we all like to win games. But why are we really coaching? We, as coaches, have been handed a tremendous responsibility to help our players grow. We need to take that responsibility very seriously while we are helping these young people to become good citizens through the game of basketball.

Good luck to you this season and we wish you the best on and off the court.
