Indiana is home to remarkable talent both on and off the basketball court, and the IBCA seeks to recognize that excellence through the creation of a new IBCA Team Academic Award for 2025-26. The IBCA firmly believes that academics are an essential component of developing well-rounded basketball players and that outstanding academic achievement deserves recognition. Inaugural winners of this award are teams that demonstrate the same commitment to excellence in academics as they do in athletics.
To qualify, each team listed below had a cumulative team GPA of 3.50 or better when averaging the first-semester GPAs of all players listed on its sectional roster.
Certificates for this recognition will be emailed as PDFs to coaches of honored teams during April.
