The IBCA thanks our sponsors:

From The Coaches’ Box
Welcome from the president

By Michael Adams

Welcome to the 2025-26 season!

Michael AdamsAs president of the IBCA, I am honored to serve what I believe is the best coaching organization in the nation. Thank you for making last year a success – I am excited about the opportunities ahead for our coaches, players and the game we love.

Membership Matters

The IBCA is here for you. Last year, coaches from 92 percent of teams were members – outstanding! Our goal this year is 100 percent. Please register your entire staff and explore the benefits, including $2 million liability insurance, access to player honors as well as leadership resources. Don’t forget to check the IBCA Calendar and respond to surveys so we can keep improving.

Programs and Opportunities

The IBCA offers a number of programs and opportunities.

  • Preseason Watch List – Recognize top players in your area for greater exposure.
  • Mental Training Program – Grow as a coach and leader.
  • NEW: Aspiring Head Coaches Program – Prepare for head coaching success.

Record Book milestone (please help promote both books)

After 46 years of honoring boys’ basketball, the IBCA is proud to launch the first Girls’ Basketball Record Book in 2026. Help us promote both the boys’ and girls’ books by sharing the flyer at your home games, on social media or on your video board. Use this flyer (click to expand):

Events & Exposure

This summer’s IBCA/IHSAA Top 100 Showcase events, the Indiana All-Star events and the IBCA/IHSAA Team Showcase in memory of Charlie Hughes events drew record numbers, including unprecedented college coach attendance. Feedback was clear – nobody does high school basketball like Indiana.

Stay Connected

Communication is vital. Please reach out to your IBCA district reps (listed on our website) with questions or concerns.

Thank You to our Corporate Partners

Special thanks to BSN Sports, Ballogy, Energy Systems Group, Hoosier Shooting Academy, Point Guard College, Shoot-A-Way Systems/The Gun, Snap! Mobile and others for their support.

I am humbled to serve as your president and am only a call or email away. Thank you for all you do for student-athletes and the IBCA. Wishing you a successful season!

Yours in Hoops,

– Michael Adams
