A number of changes and additions have been made in the leadership of the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association for 2025-26.
Marty Johnson, Tom Beach and Steve Witty remain in their respective roles as executive director, associate executive director/chief operating officer and executive director emeritus. Michael Adams of Evansville Reitz and Kaley May of Danville now are in their final year of respective three-year terms as president and president-elect. Coach Adams is the director of the boys’ Top 100 Showcase, and Coach May is chair of the IBCA mentor program.
Six district representatives are in their first year of three-year terms that conclude July 31, 2028. They are Phil Brackmann of Fort Wayne Concordia, Justin Jordan of Whitko, Jake Turner of Winchester, Mickey Hosier of Alexandria, Perry Nash of Columbus East and Carrie Daniels of Scottsburg.
In addition, two district representatives are completing terms for other people. Ben Lieske of Valparaiso fills a boys’ District 1 spot that had been held by Will Coatie, formerly of Elkhart. Also, Sherron Wilkerson of Jeffersonville fills a boys’ District 3 spot that had been held by Fonso White, formerly of Floyd Central. Terms for Lieske and Wilkerson end in July 2027.
There are 10 returning district representatives in 2025-26. District reps whose terms end in July 2026 are Jordan Heckard of LaPorte, Kelly Kratz of Valparaiso, Rich Schelsky of Parke Heritage, Lisa Finn of Cathedral, Todd Woelfle of Terre Haute North and Kyle Brasher of Gibson Southern. Other district reps whose terms end in July 2027 are Lenny Krebs of Warsaw, Andy Weaver of Plainfield, Brian Satterfield of Hamilton Southeastern and Mark Hurt of Mooresville.
The following people are continuing in these IBCA roles: Mike Broughton, games director, Indiana All-Stars; Beth DeVinney, Junior All-Star coordinator; Bill Zych, Futures Games coordinator; Brandon Ramsey, chairman, Boys’ Junior All-Star selection committee; Brandon Bradley, chairman, Girls’ Junior All-Star selection committee; Todd Howard, director of the All-Star Shootout; Debbie Smiley, supervisor for girls’ All-Star Shootout and coordinator of Girls’ Player/Team of the Week; Kip Staggs, coordinator of Boys’ Player/Team of the Week and co-director of the Aspiring Coaches Program; Kristi Sigler, Jennings County, Girls’ Top 100 Showcase director; Lisa Finn, Cathedral, Girls’ Top 100 Showcase on-court director; Renee Turpa, chair of membership and clinic, and liaison to the National High School Basketball Coaches Association; Doug Springer, Northridge, Girls’ All-State/poll committee chairman and co-director of the Aspiring Coaches Program; David Wood, Boys’ All-State/poll committee chairman and Boys’ Top 100 Showcase on-court director; Gene Milner, website coordinator and job placement director; and Pat McKee, director of special projects.
