Forty of Indiana's best 2007-2008 senior boys', as well as 40 of Indiana's best senior girls' high school players will be invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball's 2008 Top 40 Workouts held in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association. Ten alternates will also be invited to participate in each workout.
The 27th annual Girls' Top 40 Workout will be at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis on a Sunday in the spring of 2008.
The 21st annual Boys' Top 40 Workout will take place at Pike High School in Indianapolis on a Sunday in the spring of 2008.
Both Top 40 Workouts will begin at 1:00 PM and will include two sessions -- 1:00-3:00 PM and 3:00-5:30 PM.
The two workouts are coordinated by Hoosier Basketball publisher Garry Donna. Mike Armstrong of Perry Meridian and Jodie Whitaker of Lawrence North will serve as on-court directors of the 2008 Girls' Top 40 Workout, assisted by IBCA-member coaches representing all of Indiana. IBCA-member coaches Billy Wright of Pike and Larry Nicks of Indianapolis Arlington will be directing and conducting the Boys' Top 40.
These workouts give the state's outstanding seniors a change to meet and compete as well as afford college coaches an opportunity to observe them against top quality competition.
