Sixty of Indiana’s best senior boys as well as 60 of Indiana’s best senior girls high school players will be invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s 2011 "Top 60 Workouts," held in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
The 30th annual Girls’ Top 60 Workout will be held on the campus of Marian University on the west side of Indianapolis on Sunday, March 13, 2011.
The 24th annual Boys’ Top 60 Workout will also take place at Marian University in Indianapolis on Saturday, April 3, 2011.
Both Top 60 Workouts will begin at 1 p.m. and will include two sessions — 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The two workouts are coordinated by Hoosier Basketball publisher Garry Donna.
State championship coach Rick Risinger of Heritage Christian will serve as on-court director of the 2011 Girls’ Top 60 Workout and Larry Nicks of Indianapolis Arlington will be the on-court director for the 2011 Boys' Top 60 Workout. Both will be assisted by IBCA-member coaches.
These workouts give the state’s outstanding seniors a chance to meet and compete as well as afford college coaches an opportunity to observe them against top-quality competition.
While NOT a try-out for the Indiana All-Star teams, these events afford Indiana All-Star game director Charlie Hall and his Indiana All-Star coaches -- both boys and girls -- the opportunity to observe the state’s best senior players against top-flight competition.
